Pick the color of the ink, not the word itself. The classic Stroop test for attention and impulse control.
▶ Play Color & WordA word appears — for example, "RED". But the ink it's printed in is a different color, say blue. Your task: tap the button that says BLUE, because that's the ink color. You have 60 seconds. Correct answers add points; wrong ones cost you time.
Color & Word is a version of the Stroop test, developed by John Ridley Stroop in 1935. It measures how well you can override an automatic mental process — reading — in favor of a controlled one — naming colors. Training this skill improves selective attention, cognitive flexibility, and self-control in distracting situations.
